International Doctoral School

The EIDO is a centre for higher education at the University of Vigo whose purpose is to organise, within its remit, the teaching and activities specific to doctoral studies.
The school has extensive experience in training doctoral candidates, encouraging the production of high-quality theses. It is conceived as an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary school which, through doctoral programmes (DPs), manages the University of Vigo’s doctoral training projects across all fields of knowledge, seeking maximum cross-disciplinary integration and contributing to the internationalisation of researcher training.
The International Doctoral School (EIDO) at the University of Vigo was officially established following the publication of Decree 95/2013 of 13 June, which established doctoral schools at universities within the Galician university system (DOG of 26 June 2013). Subsequently, the Ministry of Education was notified of the establishment of the school via the Directorate-General for University Policy for the purposes of its registration in the Register of Universities, Centres and Degrees (RUCT) under the code 36020684.
